Australian cops were called to grill a man who witnesses described as hanging out around a suspicious looking vehicle — and found him driving off in a car that had its steering wheel replaced with a frying pan.
The driver, whose name was not released, was nabbed behind the wheel of a red Mazda that had been stripped of both its license place and the steering wheel, which he had replaced with a well-used frying pan graffitied with the note “uncontrollably driven to love.” Cops say there was also evidence that someone had cut off a boot device they’d placed on the car to keep it from hitting the road again.
The man’s car was ordered impounded for 28 days. He’ll have to appear in court around the time he gets it back. (UPI)
